Aokō Matcha is a contemporary matcha café and gelato concept in the West Village that blends Japanese tradition with modern creativity. Founded by 27-year-old entrepreneur Isabella Pang in August 2025, the cafe is renowned for its signature five-shade matcha gelato tasting experience, where guests can choose their preferred intensity from Level 1 (gently sweet) to Level 5 (bold, ceremonial-grade). The menu also features matcha-infused desserts, specialty lattes, and Japanese teas.
